# Week 2

# Research

This week was all about research. From high level concepts to the more visual side of things.

# Moodboard

We worked both individually and as a group to compile a mood board which we will use to inform our visual aesthetic. I was inspired by grainy and unfocused photography and thought this could be used as an interesting visual aseptic, simulating the blurry, and light obsessed qualities of a moth’s eyes.

# Flight In Unity

We also wanted to, as early as possible, sus out the finer details of the flight mechanic in Light After Death because it’s such an integral part to our game. To get a head start on this, we all decided to individually create basic flying demos in Unity. This allows us to develop and iterate towards satisfying flight controls quickly and gives us a playground to test out secondary game mechanics.

Looking at online tutorials I found one in particular that covered the basics of natural feeling flight controls. Following that lead to very basic object that would fly through the unity work, controlled by the arrow keys on the keyboard.
